From the Bishop:
Peace..
We are living in perlious times and chaos is everywhere. But one thing we can count on is that God is still in control; all we need to do is trust in God with all our heart, mind, and soul and He will provide for us. We need to Look to the hills from where all our help comes from. Our task is to promote peace and justice in everything we do. You have to make peace and justice a vibrant and active part of your Christian Life and practical living. We have to fill our heart with the scriptures that teach us about peace and justice such as; Micach 6:8 " He has shown thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God: " Amos 8: 24 "But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream: " and Psalm 85:10 "Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other." You have to treat everybody with diginity and respect as Jesus did with everyone He came in contact with and shared his life. We must do more then just talk or preach about peace and justice. We must show the world how Jesus would have Christians to impletment and demonstrate this peace to one another. I can't tell you how much the people of God have drifted away from peace and justice, but one thing I do know is that we must return to it if our desire is to see Jesus in peace.
God Bless!

From the Pastor:
The Lord is truly moving in our midst in a mighty way and for that and all things we give Him Glory. Bible Boot Camp has been and continues to be awesome. This month, I want to address three things that will always enhance Spiritual growth in ones Christian life. Make them an active part of your Christian walk with the Lord. They are: fasting, praying, and studying God’s Word. These three things will not only produce growth for you as an individual, but growth for Bread of Life as a body of believers as well. The Fellowship has come so far in such a short time, but eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into our hearts the great things that God has in store for us as we continue to give Him the Glory. However, we must continue to trust Him and lift Him us, for the Word tells us that if we lift Him up that He would draw all men unto Him. This time we will explore the word fasting. When we fast for the Spiritual things of God, i.e. more patience, wisdom, more understanding of God’s Word, whatever the case maybe, we deny the flesh of food and water as an indication to the Lord how bad we want our partition that are bringing before Him. Matthew Chapter 4 tells us how Jesus fasted forty days and forty nights, but He is not asking us to do that for He knows that we are human and not fully human and fully divine as He was. There are different ways/types of fast, but when we ask the church as a whole to go on a fast, it is similar to that of Jesus, but not as long. This is called a complete fast, because you are not eating or drinking. If you are on medication that must be taken, get up early, take the medication with a couple of wafers or crackers and water, then pray and begin the fast. Don’t just go without substance just to be doing so, but be in a prayerful mood constantly talking with the Lord about what you would like for Him to do for you. If you can read the Word on your break that would be good. If not, then meditate on the Word of God or on the goodness of the Lord. When you get ready to come off of the fast, you claim the partition that you have asked the Lord for at the beginning of the fast and believe that you have already received it and ye shall have whatever you ask for in my name saith the Lord of Host. Later on as the Spirit leads, Bishop and I will be teaching series on the different types of fasts. Next month, we will explore the importance of prayer in the lives of all believers.
God bless you!
